Apps for iPhone and Blackberry only? Wake up bankers!
I see a boat load of banks that are touting their iPhone and Blackberry apps, but they seem to have forgotten (or ignored the Google-owned) Android operating system. Let’s face it, whatever Google touches turns to gold. If your bank hasn’t written an app for Android, you are losing market share and most likely credibility in the marketplace.
Let’s also remember that when people get their Android phones, they spend a lot of time surfing the “Android Market” looking for apps to install, and most of those banking apps they first find include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, USAA, Chase, etc. You can even open an account through that app. The time is now for you bankers to be in Android-land…
